Malik grew up in Philadelphia and found theater through his church choir. After drama school in New York he spent a decade on and off Broadway before television found him, first as a guest star and then as a recurring lawyer audiences loved to hate.
He splits his time between New York and Los Angeles, and still does a play every year to keep the muscles honest.
